Iconic BGaming Characters Clash in Johnny Vs Chicken

BGaming has launched a new crossover slot, Johnny vs Chicken, bringing together two familiar faces from its Wild West-themed games: the smug bandit cactus from Johnny Cash and the chicken sheriff from Chicken Rush. The new title centers on a head-to-head showdown, with the provider positioning it as an action-heavy duel between the two rivals.

The signature mechanic is the Duel feature. It triggers when a VS symbol lands on the grid alongside a win. When it hits, the VS symbol expands into a whole-reel Wild and plays an animated showdown between the characters. Each side is assigned a multiplier of up to 100x, and the winner’s multiplier is applied to the win.

Free Spins arrive with three Scatter symbols, awarding 10 Free Spins. BGaming also includes a Buy Bonus option, which can either double the chance of triggering Free Spins or trigger one of three special Free Spins variants: Hot Shot (10 free spins with expanding wilds), Flaming Shot (Free Spins with sticky expanding wilds), and Inferno Shot (Free Spins with a guaranteed sticky expanding wild on the first spin).

BGaming also leaned into character and presentation, adding voiced exchanges between the cactus bandit and the chicken sheriff to make the rivalry feel more personal, and it expects that extra layer of interaction to translate into longer sessions and stronger streamer appeal. The studio says the slot takes inspiration from the success of other games using the Duel mechanic, but frames this release around “beloved characters” facing off and letting players “pick sides.”

In separate recent releases, BGaming also launched Wincent Wolf, a slot themed around two anthropomorphic animals visiting Las Vegas casinos.
