Drake hosts $1m Stake giveaway on Kick as operator turns nine
Stake is marking its ninth anniversary with a Drake-hosted Kick stream that will give away more than $1 million to viewers, including a $50,000 prize that will be awarded live on air to one participant.
The broadcast is set for Saturday 8 August at 9:00 PM ET, which is 02:00 BST on 9 August, and will run on Drake’s official Kick channel. Stake has tied the giveaway directly to its anniversary rather than a new product or market launch.
Viewers will compete for a share of the prize pool during the stream. Stake’s Drake broadcasts typically mix live casino play with audience interaction and prize drops, and this event is set to follow that same format.
Kick is operated by Kick Streaming Pty Ltd. Its sole shareholder is Easygo Entertainment Pty Ltd, which is controlled by Bijan Tehrani and Ed Craven, the founders of Stake. That ownership is notable after Twitch barred the streaming of slots, roulette, and dice games from four named sites it did not consider adequately licensed in October 2022, including Stake.com; Kick launched weeks later.
Drake’s Kick channel has more than 370,000 followers, and Streams Charts has listed his all-time peak on the platform at above 202,000 concurrent viewers. His most recent Stake-sponsored run across three days in December 2025 averaged between 24,500 and 31,900 concurrent viewers per broadcast.
Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., registered in Curaçao, and has been adding permit-based markets, most recently entering Mexico under a SEGOB permit in May 2026. The 8 August stream has no stated territorial restriction.
Player angle: Big, time-limited livestream giveaways like this have become a major way online casinos attract players, and the size and timing can shape where attention (and promos) lands next. Check our Stake Casino review before putting money anywhere.
