BGaming's New Book of Hidden Tombs Turns Losing Spins Into Bigger Multipliers

BGaming has released Book of Hidden Tombs, a new Egyptian-themed slot that changes what happens during a losing streak in its bonus round rather than reinventing the format itself.

The game follows the familiar Book-of structure: a Book symbol acts as both Scatter and Wild, and landing three or more triggers Free Spins, during which a randomly chosen symbol becomes a Golden Expanding symbol for the rest of the round. Where BGaming has made its move is in the Super Free Spins round, which carries a progressive multiplier that starts at x1 and doubles every time a spin fails to pay out, up to a cap of x512. BGaming CPO Julia Alekseeva said the mechanic is designed to add excitement to the traditional Book-of format while easing the frustration of a losing streak, calling it a benefit for both players and operators. It's a fair description of the underlying idea: high-volatility slots can go long stretches without a win, and a bonus round that visibly builds toward something during those stretches is a different experience than one that just feels empty.

Players who want to skip straight to the action have the usual shortcuts. A bonus buy option lets you pay 100x your stake to enter Free Spins directly, or 200x to jump into the Super Free Spins round with its multiplier already in play. There's also a Chance x2 option, which raises your bet in exchange for better odds of triggering free spins naturally.

Everything else about the release sits close to genre convention on purpose. BGaming isn't trying to reshape the Book-of template, it's giving operators another reason to stock a familiar format by attaching one clearly explained twist to it.
